Stock that Fits The Farm - Our Stabiliser Cattle

We’re moving to a breed called Stabilisers – and there’s a good reason for it. In the cowshed at Lower Blakemere Farm in Herefordshire, Farmer Phil explains how we were struggling with late calving, tricky births and slow-growing cattle, and why that didn’t fit the way we want to farm. Stabilisers are more resilient, calmer and more predictable in the timing and ease of calving, and they grow well on grass and forage – making them a much better match for our regenerative system, our soil, our pastures and the way we want to look after animals rather than race against them.
